Edward Samuel Eyton was born in Chester, on the 8th August 1930, to Doris and Stanley Eyton. Ted, as he is known to family and friends, came from a large family. He attended school in Saltney,Chester. On leaving school he gained an apprenticeship at Anchor Motors in Chester, and trained as an electrician
